- Conduct a thorough search: Check all exterior doors and potential delivery locations such as the porch, back patio, and garage. Make sure to search areas away from potential weather hazards where the package might have been placed.
- Inquire with others: Check with anyone who might have received the package on your behalf or have information about its delivery.
- Look for carrier notes: Sometimes, carriers leave notes on the door or nearby to indicate package delivery attempts or alternative locations.
- Review shipping confirmation: Double-check your shipping confirmation email to ensure the delivery address and details are accurate.
- Apartment dwellers: If you live in an apartment, contact your front desk attendant, building security, or mailroom to inquire about the package.
If you have confirmed that the package is indeed lost or if it arrived damaged with items missing, please follow these steps:
- Document the condition: Take pictures of the package and its contents as evidence of its condition upon arrival.
- Keep packing slips and labels: Preserve all enclosed packing slips and return labels for potential investigation purposes.
Remember, you have a 30-day window from the date the carrier marked your package as “delivered” to contact us for initiating an investigation. In some cases, the carrier may also conduct an investigation on your behalf.
